ABOUT US

Our founders, Dr. H. Dalton Connor and Steven U. Mullens, created Peak Education with a simple and compelling vision – to keep talent from being wasted. After 23 years this vision remains central to Peak’s mission and the work we do every day with our students and families. Serving over 400 students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds from 7th grade through the completion of their college education, we empower our scholars to take ownership of their educational journey and to equip them with the knowledge and resources to make choices that allow them to reach their full potential.

Our program is based on developing potential in high promise scholars through four major principals:

  • Social Skills and Mental Health

  • Self-Advocacy & Life Skills

  • Post-Secondary & Career

  • Community Engagement

Peak Education scholars are valedictorians, salutatorians, Gates Millennium Scholars, and so much more!

Throughout the 11 years Peak Education has been a part of my family, I have benefited from opportunities I would never have had such as Outward Bound. I am so grateful to the Kane Family Foundation for removing the financial barrier to college. I will graduate this summer from UCCS with a degree in Engineering and look forward to working at Aeroflex Colorado Springs where I have been an intern for 4 years. I’ll keep an eye open for opportunities to help others as Peak Ed has helped all the scholars.
