reception-05Peak Education hosted a reception at the Sonterra Grill in Colorado Springs celebrating the successful accomplishments of all those participating in the College and Career Mentoring Program. College-bound juniors and seniors receive on-going assistance throughout the year with applying for college, scholarships, and financial aid. History

Recognizing their deep concern for the betterment of low income students in the Colorado Springs school district Dr. H. Dalton Conner (internationally respected periodontitis) and Steven U. Mullens (attorney-at-law) established a scholarship program which was to become Peak Education. Since 1998 Dalton and Steve through Peak Education have been committed to giving hope and a better future to students who otherwise may not have been afforded the opportunity to attend college or even finish high school.

The Front-cover-picx450mission of Peak Education is helping students access opportunities to create a new future. Since 1998, a community-based network of partners, alumni, volunteers, and sponsors have mentored students using four effective strategies, including College and Career Readiness, Leadership Development, Family Engagement, and Community Connection. Through life-enhancing experiences, students are motivated to graduate from high school within four years, enroll in and graduated from higher education programs, pursue fulfilling careers, and ultimately give back to the community.
